Summary of Session Minutes
August 20, 2006 Meeting
[NOTE: The following summary is "unofficial" in that the session has not yet approved the minutes from the August 20th meeting]
The session opened with prayer, a quorum was present, and meeting called to order.
The reading of minutes of the last meeting was postponed.
Bennie Carol Wade, Church Musician, gave a music report. This will become a standard report of all future session meetings. She reported that she felt choir practice should be on the same night as Prayer Encounter, and suggested that we hold choir practice at 7:00 p.m. following Prayer Encounter, beginning September 7, 2006. The session concurred.
She also suggested that the Advent/Christmas music program during morning worship on December 17, 2006. The session concurred.
The session voted to officially move the August stated meeting from August 13 to August 20, 2006, due to the pastor being ill last Sunday.
The session voted to enter the Treasurer's Report into the record. [See Excel spreadsheet below]

The session voted to drop funding to Union Rescue Mission from the Gary Gault Trust money because they are no longer in North Little Rock. The session reaffirmed its committment to using procedes from the Gault Trust to fund programs for the homeless and needy to either Presbyterian funded agencies or agencies with ministries in North Little Rock. The session voted to disperse this quarters procedes to the remaining four agencies.
The session voted to sanction the Thursday night Prayer Encounter as an official meeting of the church.
The session voted to approved the request of the Arkansas Pastel Society to use our fellowship hall for the pastel painting workshop October 17-21, 2006, and for October 24-28, 2006, if needed.
The session voted to approve the draft of the agreement for the use of the upstairs space in the educational building by artists Doug Gorrell and V. L. (Lynnette) Cox.
The session postponed a decision on air conditioning for the nursery.
